Team BioWestchester Striders TC is dedicated to training young athletes in track and field as well as molding them into responsible members of the community. We do this by: - providing conditioning, training, and practice in track and field in order to participate in local, regional and national track meets; - developing a dedication to the sport of track and field and a commitment to community involvement, self-appreciation and sportsmanship; - providing performance training through a positive environment that emphasizes character, social development, leadership, self-discipline, and the pursuit of excellence; - motivating members towards high academic achievement through membership in a Club and the sport of track and field. Coach Ted Bitter is the team's head coach and has been coaching the Westchester Striders since 2004. Ted was a National Class Age Group Distance Runner from 1974 –1990. He ran with the North Shore Track Club, Prospect Park Track Club, and Central Park Track Club. Ted was also the co-founder and coach of the Central Brooklyn Soccer League.
