PhilosophyWe expect our players to be 100% committed. Our goal is to compete at the highest levels in our sport and maximize exposure of our players to college coaches for possible scholarships. Players must constantly work to earn and keep their position on the team.
Team BioWhy choose Hiki No as your softball club? We are ohana-based. We strongly believe that if the girls can ‘gel’ well off the softball field, they can energize to another level on the softball field. We stress a learning environment where the girls are comfortable. When they trust their coaches, they are comfortable to learn the game. When they learn, they progress. When they progress, they strengthen. When they strengthen, the team becomes successful. Team success is measured off of Commitment, Effort, Learning, Hustle, Sportsmanship, The ability to bounce-back from mistakes. NOT the outcome of the scoreboard. Our experienced coaching staff attends various clinics throughout the year. We’ve observed coaching techniques (just to name a few) from Kelly Inouye-Perez (UCLA Bruins - Head Coach); Heather Tarr (Washington Huskies – Head Coach); Bob Coolen (Hawaii Rainbow Wahine – Head Coach); Bill Hillhouse (Softball Pitching Guru); Howard Kobata (Renown Softball Coach); Darrick Brown (Chicago Bandits – Head Coach); Howard Okita (Hawaii Pacific – Head Coach); Crystl Bustos (Olympian Softball Player), Kate Robinson (Former UH, Former Akron Racer, Former International Professional Softball Player), Lauren Lupinetti (Professional Softball Player), and high school softball coaches Howard Oki (Mililani, Punahou); Tony Saffery (Kapolei), Stacie Mahoe (Kapolei), etc. Not all youth softball clubs carry similar philosophies. We develop, NOT hand-pick.
